The adjacent winter homes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford contain 9 buildings in the National Register of Historic Places, feature one of Edison's restored laboratories, 20 acres of botanical gardens with rare plants, prize trees and a greenhouse orchid collection, a 15,000 sq. ft. museum displaying the inventions and memorabilia of both residents, guided and self-guided tours every day, and host a summer camp for children as well as educational programs throughout the year.
