Established in 1913 by the wife of Woodrow Wilson, the Rose Garden is designed as a traditional 18th-centrury American garden, with roses, tulips and a variety of other flowers. The venue is used for a variety of presidential events, news conferences, ceremonies and even weddings on occasion.
